Hi RAJABU BARAKA, what do you want people to remember about you?
I want my legacy to be that I created a better life and future for my family and friends. That through my success I gave them the opportunity to pursue their dreams and creative endeavors. I would hope that I am remembered for the joy I brought to people, by memories I helped capture. I want people to remember the feeling of pride, happiness, and sense of beauty and appreciation of self whenever I showed them a photo or video project.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I think the thing that sets me apart in my business is that I accept and focus on what I am good at. So a decision I have made early on is to embrace partnerships. I have a business manager who handles the business. Of course this needs a high degree of trust, but it gives me the freedom to focus on what I do best – taking photos and videos and making amazing projects for my clients. I think one lesson I have learned is that I can’t do everything and that one person can’t build an empire. We all need help to grow to where we aim to be. So quite early I brought on a business manager to handle that side of things. This has not only helped me grow my business, get more clients, create brand exposure etc. But like I said since I am not devoting my brain power to those things, I can give my clients what they want which is the most professional and creative me – unencumbered. I want the world to know that my brand is about authenticity, being and showing your true-self, magnifying your inner and outer beauty. Showing the beauty of our world as is.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well the first thing is that I am currently living a place that doesn’t even technically exist on the map. I live on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus, specifically the Northern part of Cyprus, which is not recognized by most of the world. But it’s one of the most naturally beautiful places I have ever been to. Since I have a very chill personality, I think the first place we will go to is the winery which is quite famous. Then we might go golfing at the Korineum Golf Club. We will probably end the night at Sky Bar at Lord’s Palace. There so many historical castles high up in the sky where you can literally touch the clouds, and amazing Golden sandy beaches. There a lot to do and see, it’s a beautiful secret hideaway spot.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Firstly all credit and all praise to Allah, without him nothing is possible. I would then have to give a shoutout to my Mother. She has supported me in everything, I wouldn’t be where I am without her love and support. She instilled in me a strong work ethic, and a drive to pursue my goals. Her love and encouragement is what keeps me going.
