We had the good fortune of connecting with Rahkal Roberson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rahkal, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
One thing about my industry that outsiders are probably not aware of is that coaching isn’t about telling people what to do, nor is it telling people what I think they should do. True coaching is about the coachee, LISTENING to them, supporting, validating, and helping them discover answers, solutions, and making the best decisions for their lives. Coaching is about empowering and helping individuals tap into THEIR unique God-given skills and talents for their success.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am a certified professional life coach, published author, speaker, and the CEO of Be The Inspired You. Be The Inspired You is a motivational lifestyle brand and coaching/personal development training committed to challenging individuals to be their absolute best “inspired” selves (in and out of the workplace). I offer 1-on-1 coaching, group coaching, professional training, personal development workshops, and various speaking opportunities. I help professionals identify and OWN their POWER so they can break free of self-imposed restrictions and live a more fulfilling life. What sets me apart from others is my hybrid approach of mindset, positive psychology, and personal development as a driver for professional success. Over my career, I’ve found success is achieved by intentionality, strategy, and a healthy mindset. I learned if you’re no good personally (privately), you won’t be effective professionally (publicly) and the value of holistic wellbeing. I am committed to helping others get to where they desire to be in life (personally and professionally) and most excited about success stories. I’ve gotten to where I am today through consistency, determination, and garnering the necessary support to get my business off the ground. I’ve been trying to launch full-time for roughly three years now. Like many entrepreneurs, the challenge was choosing not to trade my time for money in a 9-5 while balancing a business launch. I needed to quit my day job completely to dedicate time to what I love properly. This took lots of planning and preparations. The supreme lesson that I’ve learned along the way is that true manifestation is FAITH and ACTION. If you keep believing and working at something long enough, God will provide everything else you need. It’s the law. I want the world and people reading this to be inspired and to know the greatest spoiler alert of all time is that YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO WIN. You just need some accountability and a great coach to assist you. I’m happy to be and provide both.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Although the pandemic has shifted the way, we interact socially, the need for human interactions is still important. In the safest way possible, I would take my friends to The Garden Room Atlanta for a small bite, we would have bottomless mimosas at The Nook on Piedmont Park, dinner at The BQE Restaurant & Lounge, and certainly hit up the art district. Some of the most interesting places and things to check out would be Little 5 Points to thrift and shop. We would also spend one-morning renting bikes to explore the Beltline. Lastly, because spring is in the air, we would check out Botanical Garden as well. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Dana Brownlee certainly deserves credit and recognition for the great work she’s doing as a senior contributor at Forbes, covering career-related topics and her business Professionalism Matters. Dana is an author and master trainer. She has been an exceptional mentor and leading example for me personally and many others.
