We had the good fortune of connecting with Raelyn Muva and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi RaeLens, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was straightforward, how so? I always wanted to help people and thought I should’ve been a nurse. I even took on courses in school and then realized it was not my passion. I modeled before I got into photography. I’ve dealt with other photographers who would not deliver product after I’ve modeled for them or they’d post my work without my approval, being treated that way made me want to help others not end up in a situation like that. Knowing that I can help build others confidence, providing them a safe place to create art just by connecting with them and telling a story through a photo, was all the proof I needed to be able to change the game.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about?
What sets me apart from others is the pure intentions I provide within my craft. I don’t just showcase art for my own pleasure, I practice connecting with my muse/or scenery by showcasing actual stories through images. Traveling with photography to obtain more inspiration, viewing landscapes and dealing with event photography is what keeps me going and gives the art a more realistic feel within the change of scenery’s.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would definitely stop by downtown Mobile, Al where the scenery is international with a artistic feel. We would check out this art gallery called: “Lupercalia Art Society “
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
God and my daughter, without the two of them; nothing would be possible.
