We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachel Lott and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rachel, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My decision to embark on the journey of starting my own business stemmed from a desire to break the long-standing mold that has defined my family for generations. I sought to change the trajectory and build a foundation of generational wealth—a central goal as I envision the future I wish to create for my family. Additionally, I aspired to have the freedom to shape my career, as I have a passion for exploring various creative avenues. The more control I have over my schedule, the better I can pursue and achieve all my aspirations. Ultimately, I aimed to be the catalyst for change within my family, willing to take the necessary risks. I am confident in my ability to navigate any setbacks, as my determination and faith far outweigh any challenges.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What distinguishes me from others is my unwavering commitment to client satisfaction. In addition to running a cleaning business, I am also involved in graphic design, content creation, and virtual assisting services. I am currently expanding my skills by learning UX/UI design while pursuing a degree in biology. This journey has been far from easy, and it continues to be challenging. However, I constantly remind myself of the reasons I embarked on this path. If it were easy, everyone would do it, but I believe I was chosen for this unique journey. I want the world to know that I am just beginning; I don’t have everything figured out yet, but I am actively shaping my future, living in the present, and learning from my experiences along the way. There is also an overall brand in the making, and I am patiently waiting for the right moment to introduce it to the public.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite place to visit is the Chattahoochee River Trail, so I would certainly begin with a few hours of walking there. Being a nurturing soul, I would then prepare dinner, as cooking is a passion of mine that creates an unparalleled atmosphere of warmth and connection. After dinner, I would host a game night, as I enjoy creating a comfortable and inviting space for others. If we decided to venture out, I would stop by The Battery to visit friends at Punch Bowl Social or Pheast.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to acknowledge everyone I have encountered or met throughout my life. Whether the experiences were positive or negative, observing and understanding patterns in people’s behavior has significantly shaped who I am today and improved my ability to navigate the world. Each person I encountered imparted valuable lessons.
