We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachel Danford and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rachel, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I grew up poor. My family struggled and a lot of things happened that ended up with me running away. Out of sheer survival mode, I always worked 2-3 jobs when I graduated high school. I knew I didn’t want to struggle like my family and I want to give my kid(s) that stability I never had as a kid. I want them to be able to be a kid rather than thinking about how to get a job at the age of 9.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Hi. I’m Rachel Danford. I’m a bright, vibrant, badass woman who helps other creatives and entrepreneurs build a profitable business by using social media. I went from being in a mental hospital, to a group home, to running away, to now having my own business.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love little five points. I feel like it’s a little edgier when it comes to stores there and that’s my kind of place. There’s something for everyone in Atlanta so we’d definitely find something to do.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband and my college I went to because they had a very hands on communications department where I really kickstarted my career.
