We had the good fortune of connecting with Qutavius Parks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Qutavius, how do you think about risk?
I think the more risk you take in life the better your chances are of winning in the field you are pursing! Taking risk at the early stages of my career has molded me into a fearless individual. It has also taught me that failure isn’t such a bad thing, but it teaches us all what our weakness are to build upon.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a music artist who creates tunes for the soul to smile! One listen to my music you will be encouraged to chase nothing but good vibes for a lifetime! I’ve been blessed to have my music placed in TV shows such as All-American,ABC, NFL Shop and many more! What led me to Tv &Film was taking big risk, I’ve spent a plethora of years grinding in the heart of Nashville in hopes of someone maybe hearing my talent on the downtown strip! For about 3 years each day I would go into the city and play my music for about 10 to 15 people a day! Over the years my music started catching a wave and my name started to spread around Nashville which essentially carved a path for me in the music world. I’d say the biggest impediment that I faced was keeping my faith alive and knowing that when you are blessed with a talent and vision sticking with it is your best option! I’ve learn so many valuable lesson through this journey. If I could encourage anyone that may need a extra push, the risks you have been thinking to take go for it because that may be the one that changes your life for the better!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
1.I would say the African American Music museum is a must! If you are looking for some fun then visit the Game terminal, and The PSV Store
If you are looking to get your grub on and you love hot chicken then PRINCESS CHICKEN is your place to go!
First watch in Nashville is also a lovely Brunch spot!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost Shoutout to God for putting me in a position to win! Secondly I want to thank my mentor Sam Tinnesz for taken me under his wings and showing me the ropes of the music industry!Last but not least I would like to thank my family and close friends for rooting me on non stop through my musical journey! It has been a blessing to live and bring so much joy to the world through my passion as well as enlighten the youth through a non profit in J.C movement with my musical talent!
