We had the good fortune of connecting with Quintena Pollard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quintena, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind my business is to help everyone feel beautiful in their own glowing skin.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business 2XsTheGlowCosmetics is a skincare line with products made from scratch in my home. I’m the only employee at this time besides my kids and my boyfriend at times lol. It was not easy starting this business. I’m also a CNA so i traveled for months at a time saving, researching, and purchasing product over time. There were hiccups along the way, but i was so determined to get this down pack! Skin is #1 to me. You can tell a lot about a person from their skin and i want everyone to feel comfortable in their skin. Embrace your glowing skin.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m from Mississippi so there’s not too much that goes on here, but for breakfast we would definitely go to South Bound downtown! The best southern home feeling breakfast spot. For lunch i would like to cook in my home, and dinner we could do an Italian restaurant. For a night out to hang i would say Smokin Ace’s Hookah Lounge. Through the other days there are parks to visit and shop like a mini hubfest. We could also take a ride to New Orleans and visit bourbon for food and drinks. That’s always a good time.
