Meet Quintard & Shayla Isler | Founders

We had the good fortune of connecting with Quintard & Shayla Isler and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Quintard & Shayla, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
After undergoing eight (8) years of infertility challenges, we were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Issa Illyana Isler (III). Since we have a love for baking and a had a desire to be entrepreneurs, we decided to step out on faith and create our entity.
Issa Pissa Pies, LLC is the legacy we are building for her namesake to help build awareness of infertility and Black maternal health. We want to give others who are experiencing infertility issues hope and give purpose to our pain – along with feeding the soul!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
While creating Issa Pissa Pies, LLC, we simultaneously started our 501(c)3, For This Child I Have Prayed Ministries. We wanted to turn our experienced pain into purpose. Many women with infertility issues struggle in silence, feeling like they have to keep their pain to themselves or that no one truly understands their challenges. Our ministry provides a safe, compassionate space where women can find emotional, spiritual, and practical support, knowing they are not alone in their journey. 10% of all pie sales go towards helping those struggling families in need.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As far as fun activities, we would take them to Battle & Brews in Roswell or Dave & Buster’s in Kennesaw. We love to watch sports while dining so Taco Mac or Texas Roadhouse in Paulding County, GA are top choices of ours.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, all glory and honor goes to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without His grace and mercy, this business nor any off the success we are experiencing would not be happening. Also, we want to acknowledge our inspiration for Issa Pissa Pies, LLC, our daughter, Issa Illyana (ISSA – Meaning: “Jesus; God is my salvation”; ILLYANA – Meaning: God has answered my prayer). Lastly, we would like to thank our family and friends for their love and support.
