We had the good fortune of connecting with Quintan Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quintan, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?

Taking a RISK is the number one key to success in business! Yes, it can be nerve-racking but you have to step out on faith sometimes! Taking a risk for me was leaving my 5 days a week desk job to work in retail! I was so nervous but the change was necessary. I knew that I was going to own my own boutique but I also understood that I needed to learn how retail works inside and out. The best decision I could have ever made and will never regret it!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the owner of Out Of The Box Fashion LLC. We are a women’s apparel company that provides a variety of styles online (www.otbfashions.shop ) and locally in Conyers, Georgia. What sets OTBFASHION apart from other apparel companies is we provide a personal styling service as well as offering unique and custom styles you won’t find at other retailers. We inspire women to become fearless with their style while following their dreams and living out their purpose.

I got to where I am today from mentorship from other women in business. I also studied and worked in retail to get hands-on experience of how the retail industry works. I also use resources provided by the organization SCORE (https://www.score.org/). My journey has not been easy but with the help of my husband, family and friends I have been able to stay strong and keep my business going through these uncertain times. In business, there are always challenges but the key is to not give up! The lesson I have learned along the way is to budget in my business. I always remind myself that little is more, I learned to write down everything and to always keep notes. I want my business to grow and evolve into something that I can pass down to my granddaughters. I want people to know that my brand is about unity and support for women and women in business. When you shop with OTBFASHION you get an experience that will forever impact your life! I treat everyone like the queen that they are!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My week-long trip with a friend coming to town would definitely start off at beltline! We would definitely visit a Lush Nail Bar at Atlantic Station, The Atlanta Aquarium, and hang out at Top Draft downtown for drinks, pics, and views! We would do coffee at Cafe Coma and finally

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to shout out to Tondelaya Shamley and The Atlanta Fashion Bloggers! If it was not for Tondelaya and this group I would not be doing half of what I am doing today! She was always pushing me to do more and encouraging me to host events! Teaching me the importance of networking and how to properly run a business.
