We had the good fortune of connecting with Quin Gregory and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quin, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting a business isn’t an easy decision to make. For me, I wanted to have better control over my future. I noticed the companies that I worked for were making millions per month. They would never teach me how to be a millionaire regardless of my skill, talent, and work ethic. I had to put myself in a position to win!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Currently my biggest flex is my DIY Planter Boxes. This summer I was able to teach two summer classes for children, showing them how to design planter boxes. There aren’t many people teaching carpentry to children locally. Most importantly children are able to walk away with a skill that they can use for recreation, or turn into a business. I’ve also created an ebook to teach those around the country how to build planter boxes. Getting to where I’m at currently wasn’t easy. At the end of the day it’s all about how bad you want something. The results will show every time. Consistency is key. My motto is simply, find a problem, then become the solution. Majority of people are looking for education and solutions. Become the solution, and you will never lack.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Though an introvert, I do like to get out from time to time. I love art so we would definitely visit an array of murals downtown. Perfect for those social medial photo ops. I love being outside in nature. A fishing trip would definitely be on the agenda. One of my favorite restaurants in my hometown is Truth Lounge. Small intimate setting with amazing food. Fortunately Houston is not far. They consistently have amazing food trucks planted throughout the city, as well as live concerts from your favorite artists!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Definitely my mother has played a huge roll in my well-being. Many values were instilled at a young age. I learned the value of community and helping others. What good is being great, if you can’t help others accomplish the same level of success.
