Meet Quanzerria Dupree: Poet / Spoken Word Artist & Encourager

We had the good fortune of connecting with Quanzerria Dupree and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Quanzerria, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I believe that the most important factor behind my success is my foundation. My foundation consists of God / Christ and the calling He has on my life. Understanding that calling, knowing who He created me to be, and trusting His plan over my own is what continues to further my success. With me living fully in my purpose, I am confident that I won’t ever run out of reason to do what I love, whether writing and sharing poetry or pushing my inspirational platform, We Grow Together.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a creative, I am a poet / spoken word artist. I also own an inspirational platform named ‘We Grow Together’. I have always been a creative writer however, I did not start taking my craft seriously until my sophomore year in college when I started writing more and gained the courage to post videos! As the owner of ‘We Grow Together’, the intended purpose is to break generational curses by helping each other grow in relationships with God, self, and others by first renewing the mind in light, faith, and love. I am most excited about the lives I have helped change, will help change and continue to help change. I understand that the content I post and the words that I speak will not resonate with everyone who runs by it, but I also believe that as long as I can uplift at least one person and encourage them to desire better for themselves I am walking in my calling. I can confidently say that my consistency and faith in the visions that God has given me is what has gotten me this far professionally and in general! Having a vision and holding on to it is what keeps me consistent. My faith in what I do cannot be fully complete if I do not put in the necessary work behind it! Faith without works is dead and without vision people will perish! Therefore, I hold on dearly to my faith and vision. It was not easy at first starting my journey. Anything worth having is not easy. However, all because things are not easy, does not mean that they are impossible! Strengthening my discipline, feeding my focus, and starving my distractions is what keeps me on course to move further. Having my consistent time with the Most High and including Him has helped me along my creative / encouragement journey. I’ve learned to continue to believe even if no one else does, and even though things may seem bad at the moment it will not always be that way! I just have to keep moving forward! What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s authentic. I would never encourage my supporters to take a step forward that I have not taken myself, whether that is for relational or personal growth. I desire for my brand to be inviting just as I am. I desire for individuals to feel and be welcomed, not discriminated against or judged but accepted no matter who they claim to be. I hope that people will be opened to what I have to offer, even if they don’t always agree!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love the city! Atlanta is the city that raised me and I am glad to still call it home! If one of my friends were coming from out of town and wanted to know what Atlanta was all about, I would first take them around my family! If you want to know real Atlanta people, you have to be introduced to the Atlanta originals, those who’ve been in this city longer than I have! I would then take them to explore downtown! Probably near Centennial Olympic Park since I love parks and picnics! Post-Covid, I would most have definitely taken them to some of the biggest concerts, like Birthday Bash! During the winter months, we would most definitely go ice skating at Atlantic Station! I would of course take them to go get some great wings because Atlanta would not be Atlanta with some great hot wings, with fries and a peach, lemonade, or fruit punch drink!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All of my loved ones and friends who continue to support me daily deserve credit and recognition! Specifically, my mother, my best friends, my favorite person, my family, my XA family, Sylvester Long for recommending me for Shoutout ATL, and the homies! Honestly, there are too many to name! However, they know who they are and receive their appreciation every chance I can express my gratitude! If they do happen to read this, THANK YOU! I LOVE YOU! LET’S CONTINUE TO GROW TOGETHER, LOVE ONE ANOTHER, STAYING IN LOVE, LIGHT, PRAYER & FAITH!
