We had the good fortune of connecting with Provy Tha Boss and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Provy Tha Boss, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Self preservation, having an understanding of where I was & where I wanted to be an also what it a take to get there, I want to say overall it’s the sacrifices I make knowing what’s at the finish line is definitely worth all the work I put in.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well my work ethic speaks for itself, it definitely was not an easy over night thing to achieve, I had to give myself time to grow & we things as well as people in the business for exactly what they are, your craft is in part of it the other side is strictly business I had to learn that & adjust my approach, I learned success has to have an identity for you personally an once you know what that looks like you can put your plans together to take your shot, since I’ve started on my professional music path I’ve received pro recognition form every venue I’ve ever played across Atlanta to New York City etc, I have started my own publishing company (83 Rebel Publishing), I’ve produced as well as written numerous recordings for different artists & genres from Rap, RnB, Calypso & Reggae, my catalog consists of 30 plus features on other artists records, 10 plus mixtape releases, 5 studio albums & 12 singles, I want the world to know this is all me my story & theirs I speak for life an not just my own.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well Atlanta is an adult playground for anyone looking to have options, to start of we have to start with a good breakfast so 1st we’d go to HobNob neighborhood tavern @ Atlantic Station, the belt line has a lot of different things to get in to, ride electric scooters to Ponce City Market while there play miniature golf on the rooftop with the perfect view of the city while you’re having fun then go to Slutty Vegan for some appetizers & drinks, at night there’s LOA & Puttshack definitely some good nightlife vibes.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mother Valereen for always believing in whatever I did, my sister Dana Lee my ace boon, my engineer Steven Skoob Dennis, my guys First Chaptah, Khalid Salaam, Sherman Clump & Stoney Thraxton
