We had the good fortune of connecting with Prince O and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Prince, what role has risk played in your life or career?
There are simply no rewards without risk. The most successful people on earth had to take risks to prevail. That’s just how it goes. If I didn’t take risks I would not be at the point in my career that I have reached today. As one grows as a person and within a particular industry, the risks one takes should become more calculated and backed by consistency. Taking risks without the discipline of consistency will lead to undesired outcomes and greater loss.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a recording artist and music producer. I am a multi-genre artist as my core is Trap, but my roots are in Afrobeats and Dancehall as my heritage includes Nigeria, Jamaica & Cuba. I got to where I am today being relentless. I had to be relentless when it came to absorbing knowledge, perfecting my craft, and competing with not only those around me but preparing myself to compete with the top individuals in my industry. It has by no means been easy as there is an extremely dark side to success that’s rarely spoken about and believe me I have gone through my portion. I’ve learned lessons about discernment, how to deal with different types of people and most importantly the intangibles required to “WIN”

The one thing about the “Prince O” Brand is that it’s one of Excellence. It’s one of Prestige and Dignity. It takes an immense amount of calculated moves and strong morals to maintain such an essence. I represent those who have the biggest hearts and have been treated the worst by usurpers. I represent those who are thought less of. I represent a second chance a renaissance if you will.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am from New York so we are in Manhattan no question! My best friends don’t smoke as much as I do but I need some smoke so it would be the dispensaries in Times Square to start. We would then probably hit Slutty Vegan restaurant in Brooklyn and then the Brooklyn Museum of Art. I’d also take them to SoHo to go shopping and do a photoshoot. The NYC aesthetic when properly captured is so beautiful.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my late friend Micheal Desir. We call him “ZoeBaby” He passed away early this year. He hosted me in Atlanta and made sure everything went smoothly, which led to me signing my first major contract. I miss him his parents and son miss him as well as his brother and his Westbury Family. He was a great man, athlete, and father. We love you Mike!
