We had the good fortune of connecting with Precious Asoro and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Precious, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success has been building with purpose, not just profit. Every brand I create , especially Edged Events, is rooted in service, excellence, and creating meaningful experiences for people during some of the most important moments of their lives. I focus heavily on relationships, consistency, and listening to what my community truly needs, which has allowed us to grow quickly while still maintaining a personal touch.
Faith, resilience, and adaptability have also played a huge role. Entrepreneurship comes with challenges, but staying grounded in my values, being willing to pivot when necessary, and continuously improving our client experience has helped us stand out. At the end of the day, success for me isn’t just measured by growth, it’s measured by impact, reputation, and the legacy we’re building through every person we serve.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the founder of Edged Events, a boutique event venue brand based in Gwinnett County that focuses on creating elevated, memorable experiences for weddings, celebrations, and community gatherings. What sets us apart is our commitment to excellence, intentional design, and genuine client care. From the beginning, my goal was never just to rent a space, it was to create an environment where people feel seen, celebrated, and supported during some of the most important moments of their lives.
My journey into entrepreneurship wasn’t something that happened overnight. I started with a vision, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn through both wins and challenges. Balancing motherhood, a full professional career, and building a growing business required resilience, faith, and the ability to adapt quickly. Expanding Edged Events and watching it grow into an award-winning brand has been one of my proudest accomplishments because it reflects consistency, community trust, and the power of showing up even when the process feels difficult.
It definitely wasn’t easy. There were moments that tested my confidence and forced me to rethink strategy, leadership, and growth. However, those experiences shaped me into a stronger entrepreneur. I’ve learned that success isn’t just about scaling, it’s about building systems, nurturing relationships, and staying aligned with your purpose. Every challenge has pushed me to become more innovative and intentional about how I serve my clients and lead my team.
What I want the world to know about my brand and my story is that it represents more than events, it represents perseverance, faith, and transformation. I hope my journey encourages other women, especially mothers and aspiring entrepreneurs, to believe that they can build something meaningful while still honoring their values and vision.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting for a week, I would create a mix of luxury experiences, culture, and local hidden gems that really capture the energy of Gwinnett and Atlanta. We’d start the trip with brunch at Milk & Honey Restaurant or Breakfast at Barney’s to set the tone with great food and a vibrant atmosphere. After that, I’d take them to explore Ponce City Market and walk the Atlanta BeltLine — it’s the perfect way to experience the creativity and energy of the city.
For something more elevated, we’d plan an evening at STK Atlanta or The Garden Room Atlanta for a beautiful dinner experience, followed by rooftop views at SkyLounge Atlanta. Since I’m very community-focused, I’d also make sure they experience Gwinnett County — visiting local parks, attending an event at Edged Events, and enjoying the diversity of restaurants throughout Lawrenceville and Duluth.
Midweek, we’d slow things down with a relaxing day at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort for a little escape just outside the city. And of course, no visit would be complete without exploring Buckhead Atlanta for shopping and luxury vibes, plus a night out enjoying live music or networking with Atlanta’s incredible community of creatives and entrepreneurs.
Atlanta has such a unique blend of culture, ambition, and hospitality — and I love showing people that beyond the big city lights, Gwinnett County has its own beautiful rhythm and charm that makes it feel like home.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I give my biggest shoutout to God for guiding my path and giving me the strength to keep going even during seasons that felt uncertain. My faith has truly been the foundation behind every decision, every risk, and every blessing along this journey.
