We had the good fortune of connecting with PJ Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi PJ, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I went with my gut and followed my heart to open a business that was my passion and that would also help people become healthier by eating more plants. It hasn’t been easy and I would make some decisions differently if I could go back but that’s part of the process of deciding to become an entrepreneur.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is The Tasty Plant-Based Kitchen, we are a vegan food service company. We offer catering for events, sell products, and do pop-ups around the city from time to time. Our motto is “Delightful eats without the meats” and we consider our food Soul Fusion Vegan Cuisine. I started the company in 2020 and in 2021 I left my Software Engineering job to do this full-time, it’s been pretty challenging but I have no regrets, I’m the first of my family to own a business so I know there are some things I’ll just have to experience and learn the hard way in order to past that knowledge on to my children. We are family owned and we come from humble beginnings, I want to help heal with food one bite at a time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All the people along the way that helped in any way form or fashion!
