We had the good fortune of connecting with Pinky Redd and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pinky, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
Success to me is making an impact in other people’s lives. Being a blessing to as many people as I can through my businesses and my personal life.

Helping at least one person achieve their business goals by showing them how to start a business. How to build their business credit. How to get funding. How to market their business. Showing them how to find their target audience and market to them. Making sure they understand branding their business. The difference between that and marketing. Creative marketing. How to structure their business in a way that it will become successful.

Help to bring back the confidence in women, men & children who have been struggling with hair or beard issues. I created a hair care product line that grows back thinning hair, damaged hair, bald spots, Alopecia, helps dry itchy irritated scalp, helps grow and fill in beards.

So many people suffer with hair issues and don’t know where to turn. Being able to provide products that will bring their confidence back is an amazing feeling.

Successful is not what I have but who I can help.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Pink Is Me is my beauty brand. I offer hair growth products for the entire family. Shampoo, conditioner, hair juice & beard oil. Beauty classes & ebooks.

PR Marketing Firm is my marketing firm. We teach business credit classes & build it for our clients. We offer personal credit consulting & education. Mentoring new businesses. Marketing, branding & promotions. We also have vending machines & teach how to start up your vending machine business.

JL Martin Transport & Big Papa Trucking is our family trucking companies. We also offer dispatch services.

Starting my businesses was not easy at all. I have started stop, wanted to give and cried many nights. Once I narrowed down my niches & decided what I was really passionate about it made it a lot easier.

Understanding every aspect of business is very important. From structuring it, taxes, to naming it, to funding it, to expanding and everything in between.

Challenges will come, it’s how you deal with them that counts. We can plan everything out and do everything according to the business plan. But sometimes thing will just happen and you have to just be ready for them. Having someone you can trust to mentor you or guide you in the right direction is important.

Research, study & invest as much as you can. Stay up to date with what is going on in your industry. Make changes as needed and rebrand if necessary. Build a solid team so you will be able to grow. We can’t do everything by ourselves. (Hard lesson to learn)

Write your vision down, set realistic goals for yourself, don’t wait for it to be perfect before you execute it and just do it. You can make changes as you go.
