We had the good fortune of connecting with Phoenix England and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Phoenix, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Back in 2019 I started working at Starbucks, during the time the pandemic hit. I was in college a year at the time to become a UltraSound Tech. After a year of doing college I decided this wasn’t the road that I wanted to take. So, one day I came across a news article about a coffee truck going around to neighborhoods serving coffee to customers like an ice cream truck & I thought it was the coolest thing I’ve ever heard! After that day I started doing a lot of research on how to start a mobile coffee trailer. I researched & worked hard for a year. When I finally saved up enough money, I invested the money into a 1970s Cascade camper! I knew if anything was to happen in my personal life I could always sell the investment and get my money back.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I run Butterfly Mountain Co out of a vintage 1970s Cascade Camper. It gives off boho hippie vibes and people are obsessed with the look! With the camper being so unique, I wanted my drinks to resemble that feel & look. So we’ve created a menu that has the name of the drink and the flavors that go into it. Example: Our Signature drink The Honey Bee ~ Honey Vanilla & Cinnamon
Example 2: Wild Flower ~ White Chocolate & Toffee
I feel like there’s a whole other world of coffee & I want to bring everything coffee has to offer!
We have people come up and say they don’t like coffee or even ice coffee and once they taste my version they fall in love!!
It’s fun when there’s a challenge & with each obstacle we in counter we get through it as a team.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would hit the Dallas Markets, Uptown Thrift, Goodwills, Plato’s closet – I love to thrift! Places to eat: Pizza Farm, Trinity Taco (food truck), Delicious Belgian (food truck), Red Beards Bbq (food truck). We would Definitely go to food truck parks!!
Hiking as well!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My biggest credit and support goes to my mom. She told me I could change, be, & do anything with my life. Do what makes you happy and never let anything or anyone hold you back. She is a entrepreneur herself so with her business background she’s helped me a lot through the process of opening this business. Also thank you to my Fiancé and Father for anything that breaks or needs replacing on the camper, they are my handy guys. I couldn’t ask for a better support system
