We had the good fortune of connecting with Pearson Kilgore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Pearson, how do you think about risk?
I believe that risk taking is imperative for creating something worthwhile. It’s in the moments when you want to quit that you grow the most and learn the most about yourself. It’s the people that are whiling to take the risk and keep pushing when things seem dark that come out on top.
What should our readers know about your business?
I own Envision Snacks which is a healthy snack brand. Our brand identifies with people that don’t have a lot of time and need simple, clean fuel to keep going. Whether they’re running a business, juggling multiple jobs, training for an event or just trying to get to the next level in life, something they all struggle with is time and knowing where to properly spend it. We aim to alleviate some of this frustration by providing a clean, healthy snack that the customer doesn’t have to second guess eating. No one should have to stand in the isle of a gas station or grocery story wasting time reading a label to make sure the claims on the front of the package match what’s on the back of the package. We sum this up by simply saying, “Healthy Shouldn’t Be Complicated”.
Starting a snack brand in a giant market is not easy and we are learning new lessons every day. We have positioned ourselves as the “underdog” and have embraced this title through some of our branding. We believe that our target market might also identify as an underdog at times in their respected fields. Our message is keep pushing and own that underdog mentality.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to the battery to catch a Braves game and get some food at Superica. One of the nights we would hit El Super Pan for the late night DJ and dance floor. We would go out on lake Allatoona at some point as well as visit some of the local downtowns like Roswell, Woodstock or Marietta and try some of the locally owned restaurants.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My close circle of friends and family that have always given me honest reactions and feedback.
