We had the good fortune of connecting with Paul Woida and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paul, what do you attribute your success to?
Doing the things no-one else wanted/were willing to do.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Please tell us more about your art. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?

I’m a live performer. I think two things really set me apart.

1. I was doing really high quality YouTube videos before anyone else in my city

2. I was looping live before anyone knew it was a thing. (it’s the thing Ed Sheeran does live in concert)

It was not easy! I could write a novel about the obstacles and how I overcame them/still have to overcome them. The best way to summarize what I’ve learned into one sentence is this; don’t make a big life decision (that affects you personally every day of your life) based off the hope that someone else (who thinks of you once a year) will think of you the way you’d like them to.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to and Edmonton Oilers game since we are the most exciting team in all of sports right now! It’s truly a special time for our team. A moment I don’t think I’ll see again while I’m alive.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Without a doubt my wife. It takes a lot to be married to someone who’s married to their work. She’s a wonder woman for so many reasons. She owns her own businesses, holds down the house, is a rock for her family and friends, works harder than anyone I know and is constantly supportive and loyal and positive.
