Meet Paul Jupe | Country Music Singer, Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Paul Jupe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paul, what inspires you?
I am lucky enough to live in the countryside in Hampshire, UK. The countryside has so many beautiful things to be inspired by from seeing the Deer in the fields to the open fields full of wild flowers. As a country music songwriter it has given me the inspiration for a lot of my songs.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a country rock singer songwriter based in the UK. I have been writing songs, performing live and recording music for over 30 years. In this time I have played many venues nationally and internationally learning my craft as I went along . As any musician will tell you there are a lot of ups and downs in the music industry but there is nothing like the feeling of performing on stage. In August 2023 I was lucky enough to receive Silver Award for Male Vocalist Of The Year at the International Singer Songwriters Awards Ceremony in Sandy Springs, Atlanta and also Songwriter of the Year at The Fair Play Country Red Carpet Awards in The Netherlands. Music is a real part of me. I started playing guitar at the age of 14 and it has been the backbone of my life ever since. I love playing country rock music and in 2020 I decided to embark on a solo career releasing my debut album ‘Home Town’ in the summer of 2021. I am truly grateful for the incredible support I have received since the album was released.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The countryside in Hampshire is amazing. Just walking around the small villages and stopping off at local pubs for lunch and local ales. A bit further afield is the historic town of Winchester, including the 13th Century Great Hall which houses King Arthur’s Round Table. London with its museums, theatres, famous landmarks and live music venues is only a short train ride away.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank my family and the Fuller family and my close friends for all their love and support. Thanks also to all the radio stations around the world that support independent artists, The International Singer Songwriters Association in Atlanta, Fair Play Country Music in the Netherlands and Country Music Social Media.
