We had the good fortune of connecting with Patti Gill and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Patti, what do you attribute your success to?
I know no biz can become successful without a good team. I attribute having a wonderful team that appreciates and recognizes each other strengths. There’s no competition within, we all know that we are working for something bigger than us.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe Gill Talent Group have been a change agent for many artists of color. We’ve given many artist opportunities that they would not have ordinarily been able to afford with many of the union franchises agencies.

I’m proud of our team and the mental health checks we routinely provide for clients along with education and resources so our clients can have a fair chance at booking a role.

Hard is not having opportunities, so the word hard isn’t a word we use because opportunity and empathy is what sets us apart from others.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When I have friends or even clients that visit, one of my fav places is Poor Calvin located on Piedmont. I always encourage and host visitors at the many cluster of restaurants that are located in Atlanta such as Ponce City Market, The Works, Krog Street Market and last but not least Tassili’s located in the West End neighborhood.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This shoutout goes to the phenomenal women of Gill Talent Group.
