We had the good fortune of connecting with Patrick Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Patrick, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my Talk Show was to interview celebrities and influencers in hopes of helping someone hearing to their success story and in turn understand they can become successful as well. A lot of people believe celebrities didn’t have the same obstacles that they are having when they was trying to become successful but after hearing the celebrity guests on my show they realize that they went through the same issues if not more. In the beginning when I first started the show I was doing in-studio interviews but when the Covid-19 started I switched to virtual interviews. This allowed me to interview a more broad range of celebrities from different parts of the country and not just my city. When most people think of celebrities they think of perfection and I want people to know that’s it’s quite the opposite. Yes they are financially secured and have fun careers but they also make mistakes on the road to success and those are the stories I want my listeners to hear in hopes that it propel them to not give up and to realize life is a marathon not a sprint! I allow my listeners and followers to engage with the celebrities I bring on my show. They get to ask the celebrities questions that they normally wouldn’t get asked. This has a been an amazing technique because the guest-listener relationship is created which allows everyone including the celebrities to feel connected.

I am most proud about being able to start a talk show and not giving up when things got tough. The process of getting celebrities to commit to being on my talk show is super hard because they have millions of people contacting them everyday asking for favors and to talk to them. so for me to be able to talk to celebrities for a living and make good money doing it I’m proud of. I got to where I am today professionally by not getting complacent in my journey. I get up everyday day and treat my brand as it is my first day starting out. It was not and still not easy becoming an award winning celebrity interviewer. Celebrities are the hardest people to work with because they are the most stand-offish people so to gain their trust and confidence is extremely difficult but I know that anything worth doing is worth doing right. I read somewhere that “A Ford car take 6 hours to build but a Bentley take 6 months to build”. So if you want to build something that will stand the test of time it will take time!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love downtown Atlanta and the Beltline The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would dedicate my shout out to my Michael Green and family and brothers.
