We had the good fortune of connecting with Patricia Kelly Marsh MD and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Patricia, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
The journey itself, including failures, learning lessons, challenges, wins, and even losses, all paint the full portrait of success. It is about resilience, adaptability, and having the courage to pivot when needed. True success is not limited to any industry, title, or age. It is about making a positive impact on the people and the world around you while doing what is necessary to fulfill your purpose.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly, I am still figuring that out myself. Atlanta has so many hidden gems that I feel like I am always discovering something new. If my best friend were visiting for the week, we would definitely start with brunch at South City Kitchen because the fried chicken and waffles never disappoint. From there, I would plan a mix of city and relaxing moments. We might take a stroll on the BeltLine, visit Ponce City Market for shopping and rooftop views, and enjoy an evening at The Garden Room for a beautiful dinner experience. One day we would explore Midtown and Little Five Points, and another day we would relax at Piedmont Park with a picnic and good conversation.
We would check out a few local art exhibits or live music spots because Atlanta’s creative scene always inspires me. I would also want to share a bit of my world by stopping by a community health event or showing them a glimpse of what we are building at AMY MD.
Atlanta is full of energy, culture, and connection, and no two visits are ever the same. That is what makes it such a great place to live and explore.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a special shoutout to my dad. From a young age, he instilled in me the importance of organization, critical thinking, and a strong work ethic when setting and pursuing goals. Every year, my father taught us to write out our goals in five key areas of life: Spiritual, Personal, Family, Educational/Career, and Financial. I have carried that tradition throughout my life, often revisiting those goals and reflecting on the prayers, scriptures, and life lessons he shared along the way.
