Meet Paris Phifer: Plus Model/Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Paris Phifer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paris, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my brand and success is my faith and ambition. I believe That you are nothing without God and with him all things are possible. My ambition I feel is what sets me apart from the rest. If I want something I’m going to get it. If that means putting in hard work to obtain it then that’s what I’ll do. Being disciplined is something I am working on but with faith, hard work, and prayer you can obtain anything in life. Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a full figured model who has been modeling for the last 8 years. When I first began, plus modeling was not what it was today in the media. Over the last 8 years I have been published, on book and magazine covers, and became a plus influencer for several brands. I got to where I am today professionally by remaining consistent with my craft and being creative in my talent. I’ve learned that you cannot compare yourself to others and how they progress in their field. Be your own self and it will set you apart from the rest. I would like the world to know about me and my brand is that you can love yourself despite what society’s standard is and go against all odds.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m from the DMV area. Prince George’s County to be exact. If you were visiting for the weekend we would def head out to DC for brunch. I would Suggest La Vie which is right on the water at the wharf and great vibes and better views. Next we would def hit a day party somewhere in the city. Sunday we would do a chill pic nic maybe at the National mall or somewhere with a nice view of the water. After enjoy a nice walk downtown to enjoy the scenery.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God first and foremost. Right after is my mother who has supported me through everything in life big or small. My bestfriend Courtney who goes above and beyond for me and my brand and who makes me go harder everyday when I don’t feel like it. I deeply appreciate her and her support. Lastly, the plus community is who I would like to shoutout as we have came a long way to showcase our confidence to the world.
