We had the good fortune of connecting with Paris Leech and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paris, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk is a scary word, but it can lead you to your destiny. The most uneasy feel about taking risk is that your not sure about the outcome which is understandable, however it can lead to your destiny. I have taking risk myself by starting and restarting my online fashion apparel business, not knowing how my audience would receive me coming back or most importantly if they would take me seriously. Lets just say I am happy I took the risk!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have a corporate job in the health field and I run an online business fashion apparel company called Sashe Unique By Paris. We relaunched 2\2\2021 and the road has not been easy a lot of discouragement and lack of support, leads to wanting to give up and I experienced that. I picked myself up regrouped, grew that tough skin and was ready for the wolves out there, but honestly you have to trust and believe in yourself even when no one does!

As child I would see my mother and grandmother dress really nice and in my grandmas room was packed with clothes and jewelry, and not to mention I was the only girl. I always wanted to wear my grandmothers jewelry but I didn’t start to get into fashion until I started to dress myself trying to find my own unique style. I always wanted to start my own line/boutique but didn’t know how to start, nothing about business and trust me I am still learning.

I am still developing my brand its for all kinds and shapes of women who have different walks of life. You maybe the age of 21 and find something you like or be the age 50 and find something that interest you. My brand is bigger an a boutique that’s why I don’t call it a boutique. The type of style is classy, sexy and cool.! stay with us and watch us grow.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so much new places opening up in Pittsburgh. For dinner I would take them to Eddie V’s which is a seafood restaurant, then for some for some laughter I would take my bf to this spot called The Improv then to end the night with some dancing and drinks we would go to the 808/EON. Since new bars and restaurants are opening now so we would do something each days The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a huge recognition to my soul mate Christopher Parker who has seen it all, the blood, the sweat and the tears. Thank you for lifting me up when I feel like I want to give up and making me look at things in its full spectrum.

I would also like to give thanks to two other people that are part of my support system and that’s Racquel Miller and Natasha Lowry for being so supportive and being right there when I need them!
