We had the good fortune of connecting with Owen Knight and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Owen, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
With being a professional wrestler, you are your brand so I feel like you have to represent your brand, and how you wanna be portrayed to your audience. My physical self is technically my own business due to the nature of the profession lol.

Having to stay in shape, Taking care of your body in downtime, make sure that you’re mental doesn’t go unattended to All play factors.

As well as watching tape study and studying the game, certain moves, psychology. I think it contributes to yourself which helps you make good business decisions to towards whatever you’re trying to get it, and the best way to show your brand/business.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When I tell people I’m a professional wrestler, I usually say that I tell stories. Wrestling is one of the few art forms where you could tell stories with physical actions.

Professional wrestling has all aspects of a soap opera that has his drama, suspense, It’s good guys. It’s bad guys, sometimes you have time of your life and sometimes you just there and lonely, but it’s a story nonetheless.

I pay attention to the small intricate details in wrestling. It sets me a part from everyone else because there’s a group of people just like me who pay attention to the little things and that’s what I focus on. I started wrestling 10 years ago. I moved from Southwest Washington DC to Atlanta, Georgia. I had to go to training school to learn the art form.

Nothing is easy, especially when you want it bad enough lol. I’ve overcome race adversities, Weight challenges, politics, They all play apart in any form of entertainment. You just have to learn how to maneuver and play your part. I’ve learned that if you stay the course and continue to work hard and be CONSISTENT it’ll get you places quicker then politics.

I want people to know that I’m one of the best professional wrestlers on the independent circuit, not just the southeast. My brain and lifestyle is made out of hard work and dedication. Stay true to yourself being genuine too people and treating them like trash helps you in the long term. I go by the phrase “All Work Is Easy Work” make the hardest work look easy.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Your 3rd spot! A great vibe of fun energy, a lot of great games and dope food. I love the blue crab fritters.

House of hookah, I love a great chill vibe from time to time. Always great music and decent hookah.

Round1! Love arcade spots! The pizza there is crazy good! They have hella range from games and activities.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Per foremost, I like to S/O God without him none of this is possible.

My family, knowing that I have a support system who loves what I do and appreciates what I do makes me go 10 times harder than ever.

I like to shout out all of the talented men and women. I’ve had a pleasure to wrestle and work with the last 11 years and counting. Being able to create magic with other like-minded individuals is always a great thing in any field you’re in, but in wrestling it’s always a great time, most of the time.

Myself for staying committed, for me still being delusional and having all these dreams and aspirations still to this day

Music, Sometimes it’s my gospel, no matter what genre or artist. In certain situations, especially right before I go out for matches, I put on a little tunes to ease my nerves. Take edge off.
