Hi Otharin, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I am inspired by Celebrity stylists like Law Roach and Kollin Carter because I myself want to become a celebrity stylist. Their artistry in fashion is top tier and their muses Zendaya and Cardi B are always dressed to perfection. They make me understand the meaning of being a fashion stylist and how to construct looks with just your mind and creativity.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is a styling business where I want to style people for any occasion you need. Photoshoots, Runways, Press, Day to day, or special events. I love the editorial aspect of fashion and putting unique pieces together to create an amazing look. I got where I am today with my business by building connections with people in the same industry as me and taking in any information that was introduced to me and putting it towards my career. What I am most excited about my career so far is getting the opportunity to style celebrity @flyyytattedsky in fashionnova pieces for her deliverables with being a fashinnova brand ambassador. You could check out the pieces I choose on my styling instagram @thestylezov.0. What I want the world to know about my brand is it’s going to be as authentic as I am.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If you choose to go to an HBCU in Atlanta, GA, I suggest you best stay involved in school activities on and off campus because thats the most fun you would get. Also you could visit the Georgia Aquarium which is amazing and has a lot of different things to seek. You could also go to Atlantic station where the food and places to shop and sometimes they host fun events there as-well. I would say the last thing thats really fun is visiting the Mercedes Benz Dome or State Farm Arena where you could go to a concert or an Football or Basketball game and its and amazing vibe and experience all together.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to show out my illustrious HBCU Clark Atlanta University. Clark has brought me a lot of opportunities that I would’ve never known were out there if it wasn’t for attending and HBCU. There are so many connections and friends that you make to uplift you on your career journey. Everyone wants to make it and your business partner could be your classmate or best friend. So my suggestion is if you are thinking about attending an HBCU you definitely should!
