We had the good fortune of connecting with Oso Muka and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Oso, the decisions we make often shape our story in profound ways. What was one of the most difficult decisions you’ve had to make?
One of the most difficult decision I had to was choosing between is problem I am still facing at the moment. I have it’s hard for me to make time for everything and everyone. Me being a artist puts a strain on my family because I’m not able to see them as often, but if I spend time with my family I have to step back from music. With that being so I would say that is the most difficult decision I ever had to make

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My name is Oso Muka, I am one of the crunkest artist in the city of Atlanta. My story as a artist starts with me being overlooked in everything I did concerning music. It was times I sat in the studio from 3pm-5am just to get a opportunity to record a verse. A lot of people did not take me serious, but after a while of self doubt I built a friendship with Tree. This is a guy who impacted my music journey as well as my personal life a lot. Tree and I got on a phone call one late night and I expressed to him how I wanted to take music serious. The next day Tree went to the nearest music store and purchased all the equipment we need to start our music journey. From there we built a team what is now call Block Bandit. With that being said the thing that makes this journey so special and exciting to me is that fact that we did this together and built a team from the ground up.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend is visiting the city the first place we’ll go is Edgewood. The reason i say that is because Edgewood on a Saturday night is like a big party that never ends, people just post up outside and vibe. Of course, once we get hungry we have to hit up the best Chinese food spot in Atlanta, Hans 2. I grew up on Hans 2 and it have yet to dissatisfied me. After we eat we’ll pull up to the studio and end everything off with catching a vibe and make a banger track.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout my family of course, but i would also like to shed light on my manager Tree this is a person who have been a big part on my musical journey.
