We had the good fortune of connecting with Omod Cashmere and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Omod, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
When knowing whether to keep going or give up I have been on a total rollercoaster like I feel every entrepreneur has. Sometimes Idk whether to keep going or give up but I just know that I have been adamant about doing something with my life in general. I may not be doing the same thing I was last yr but I’m always doing something to better what I expect my future to be like. As well a take whatever I learned in the process to elevate the next move I make. I took some time to come to terms with the struggles but I believe you can always get better, know better and do better. With my brand personally I had a hard time in the beginning sticking to it because it was in the middle of a pandemic where everyone was doing the same thing and I didn’t think my craft would stand out much. It took me almost a yr to get 10 sells! It was such a rough start but it opened my eyes to so many other entrepreneurial opportunities and I can never be mad about that. With all of that being said just keep swimming even if you’re not swimming in the same direction the whole time.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well, my graphic brand started off as “WOLFFlow Official.” I chose that name because I wanted a name that represented my personality which is a lone wolf. I am introverted but I have an abundance of extroversion on the inside of me that sometimes is scary to let out in today’s society. Down the line I started to feel uneasy with the name because it didn’t feel personal enough to me. So from there, I came up with Scorpion Creed! The concept is the same but now it has more of me attached to it being that I am a die hard Scorpio through and through. I connect with creed because it reminds you of the movie and fighting to win the battle! My life being raised in foster care and then in Atlanta by my grandmother was not easy by far but I had to realize I can’t let my fear of past trauma affect my future goals and aspirations. Together you get Scorpion Creed; a graphic apparel that represents ReDefining your F.E.A.R into a stronger and more positive meaning. Fear is my brands motto and used as the an acronym meaning “Face Everything And Rise”. A creed that has kept me going through these last few years of chaos and disaster from police brutality ,to the pandemic, recession, political agendas etc. Though entrepreneurship has been a tough journey at a rough time , I have overcome so many trials and found a connection with people who understand me and my content. I have learned it’s not all about how many people you sell it too but more importantly the ones who really get it.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had to show my friends a great time I would want it to be something spontaneous. My itinerary would consist of a drag show, a lot of liquid courage with a few party favors, spades or an old school night club and Waffle House. Every great night has to end with Waffle House. PERIOD! My idea of fun isn’t spending alot of money because I personally am all the fun you will need no matter where we go.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to give a shout-out to my partner and bestfriend Olivia. She has stayed by my side through everything even when I got discouraged and wanted to quit. She remained positive and highly supportive. For that I am very grateful.
