We had the good fortune of connecting with Omar Cook & Adonis Armstrong and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adonis and Omar, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Omar Cook:

Starting my own business was a way for me to control my own narrative in life, and provide opportunities for others to advance in their careers as well. I wanted to create something that not only I could enjoy, but the world could be proud of. I wanted to do something that would excite me every single day of my life to where I would look forward to getting up every morning with no regrets about what I’m doing. My though process was to create something that was positive and high vibrational and provided a necessary service to the world. My desire is to create something generational that will outlive me and create generational wealth for my family.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
247 Live Culture Enterprises is a media and entertainment empire built to promote Black culture in a positive way to the masses. This platform is a one stop shop for entertainment serves in several capacities. Under our production company 247LC Films, we have produced multiple award winning short films and movies racking up over 30 film awards in international film festivals. Our debut feature film, ‘LA Undercover’ recently released on Amazon Prime Video, Vudu, and cable and won the Audience Award for Best Feature Film at the Silicon Beach Film Festival. We produce multiple original talk shows and podcasts including BoomBox Weekly Podcast and Who’s Hot? Exclusive where we interview major celebrities and rising music artists during our shows. We also have an excellent writing team that produces daily news promoting Black culture in various subjects from music and entertainment news, hair, beauty, fashion, sports, politics, and lifestyle. We also have our own public relations department, 247LC Entertainment which produces red carpet interviews and manages celebrity talent and their appearances. 247 Live Culture was founded in 2018 and has built a major audience reaching over 30 million people monthly across our social media platforms. We want the world to see that Black culture is a major positive force contrary to what most of the news outlets portray us as. 247LC is here to be a generational empire that fosters amazing talent and provides a reliable source of news and entertainment that Black America can be proud of. Our team is dedicated towards pushing our culture in the right direction.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Omar Cook: La Brea Seafood Market has top tier fried fish, Gloria’s Soul food, Country Style Jamaican Restaurant in Inglewood. You can’t go wrong with either of these.

Adonis Armstrong: To be honest, I’ve been out of the loop for about a year and change in Los Angeles. Been putting a lot of work in behind the scenes but I will tell you some of the dope food spots to visit in the city. Vurger Guyz, Court Cafe, and the Vegan Playground. I would say on Mondays for karaoke station 1640 and the most exciting is the 247LC movie premiere.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Omar Cook: Shoutout to my 247 Live Culture team, and every person that supports our platform. My creative efforts are always directed towards inspiring and motivating other creatives to go after their dreams. For any person that ever showed any type of support, I appreciate you. My parents get the biggest credit for pouring into me and ensuring that I had the right mindset to be successful.
