We had the good fortune of connecting with Olivia Stephens and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Olivia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting Liv Orderly was a natural evolution of my lifelong passion for organization, which I’ve carried since childhood. I thrived on creating order, and even as a young child, I was known for demanding organization from those around me. One memorable story involves my neighbor, Mary Jean, where I confidently walked in and urged that we needed to get her garage in order together. This skill and passion have been ingrained in me from a young age, and I often share this with my clients. As I grew older and gained experience working with children and spending time in various homes, I came to realize the profound impact that an organized environment can have on one’s well-being and productivity. Recognizing the need for professional organizational services, I was inspired to turn my passion into a business that could help others achieve a sense of order and tranquility in their lives. Liv Orderly was born out of my desire to make a meaningful difference by creating functional, stress-free spaces for my clients, one home at a time.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a professional organizer, what sets me apart is the genuine passion I bring to each project. I understand the emotional weight that comes with a cluttered space, and I take pride in transforming it into something my clients can be proud of. I prioritize understanding my clients’ needs and preferences, tailoring my solutions to fit their unique lifestyles.

Community has been instrumental in my professional journey. Building relationships with clients and receiving positive referrals has propelled my business forward. The power of word-of-mouth and client testimonials has been invaluable in establishing my reputation and attracting new clients.

My journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Building a successful organizing business requires perseverance, patience, and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt. Overcoming obstacles such as client expectations, time management, and business growth strategies has been a journey of self-discovery and professional development.

What sets me apart is my commitment to making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I’m not just here to declutter physical spaces; I’m here to empower my clients to reclaim control over their environments, reduce stress, and enhance their overall quality of life through the power of organization.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

I want to give a shoutout to mothers everywhere, especially to my own incredible mom. She was born in Sweden and moved to America at just 21 years old to work as an au pair. Despite being far from her support system, she raised four children with unwavering love and dedication. I truly wouldn’t be the person I am today without her. My mom was the kind of mother who celebrated our uniqueness and allowed us to be who we wanted to be. Having worked with countless mothers over the years, I’ve seen firsthand the immense contributions they make on a daily basis. Mothers are the backbone of our families, and their love and sacrifices shape the future generation. Here’s to all the amazing mothers out there – you are appreciated more than words can express.
