We had the good fortune of connecting with O’Brie Eggleston and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve always been artistic and expressive but pretty private about it too. Honestly I don’t really know what sets me apart from others, but I do know that I see and sense everything in a deeper way. I constantly hear music and see different art forms in my head. And for most of my life I would create and simply keep it for myself because I never thought anybody else would get it or didn’t think it was good enough to share. It took a lot of self-work to get to a place to want to share my gifts and I’m still working on it but that’s something I’m very proud of. It’s hard and it takes a lot of failing but it’s my passion so I have to persevere, I have to look at failure in the face and learn from it. My brand Marce’ Studios is a creative label that is based on helping and pushing the community forward. I want the world to know that Marce’ Studios is always evolving and is going to push the world to continue to do the same.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well being in Atlanta during COVID would be interesting but thankfully there is still a lot more fun things to do then most places. I would love to go to an art gallery, the High Museum is great, I also love a black-owned gallery called ZuCot Gallery the art and aesthetic is amazing. After that maybe have a picnic at Piedmont park, or wait in line for an hour at Slutty Vegan just to eat their delicious burger in 5 minutes. We could go to Phipps Plaza and catch a movie and do some shopping or go to Ponce City Market they have great food, shopping, and a park on the rooftop! For dinner we could dress up and go to Houston’s for some fine dining, maybe hit the Edgewood after see some night life and get a couple drinks, and it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t end the weekend off with wings at Magic City in true Atlanta culture.
