Meet Nyenda Anderson | Beauty Mogul; Model

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nyenda Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nyenda, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I simply wanted to be the boss. I grew up watching my mother own a successful mental health agency, and watching her fiercely give everything to her business motivated me to have that control and power over my life in my own way. Plus, I worked for her and did not like when she told me what to do. I knew it was my calling to be the boss, too.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I, Nyenda Diamond, am an audacious entity within myself. I began “TheDiamondCollectionCo.” as an actual business when I started to see the feeling I brought out of people. I modeled often in college and young women that I would audition and bring into the troupe would ask me, “How do I gain confidence like you?” or I would let them come over after a rehearsal and they’d literally play dress up in my clothes, make-up, and wigs. It was so exciting to see them loving themselves in my things, so I began brainstorming on how I can make people’s feelings lucrative for me. Since solidifying TheDiamondCollectionCo. a year ago and expanding my luxury extension company into a beauty empire, I have received so many blessings, from meeting amazing people in my chair to being able to expand my brand. I’ve been blessed to model for a multi-million dollar company and plug myself in with other prominent make-up artists and creatives in the beauty world.

The most challenging part of maintaining my brand and professional life is remaining positive and diligent despite curveballs being thrown at me. The biggest lesson I have learned through building TheDiamondCollectionCo. and my brand is if I do not continue to thrive for what I know I can have, I will never receive it. I have never had a challenge too strenuous for me because I have and will always remain determined to see every situation through.

I want the world to know that I am here and I am coming hard! TheDiamondCollectionCo. is simply a portion of the person I am destined to be. This is the beginning of something amazing, and I want everyone along this ride with me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First things first, SHOPPING! Once my BFF arrives, we’d grab something to eat downtown at a cute little spot where we can enjoy drinks and a cute view while chatting. Then, we’d head home and enjoy MORE libations while we light that hookah, talk about going through our quarter-life crises and help me with inventory. This is what majority of our days will resemble.

My girls and I love going to high-end restaurants with a bomb ambiance, like Lemaire, and spending the bag on whatever we’d please, so we’d be doing just that while finding perfect places to take pictures. Of course, I always make them get pictures of my fire a** lace from my collection (FIND IT!).

I love showing my friends my eclectic personality, so I take them through each realm of me through out the day. On top of finding great eats and being the baddest in the city, heading to the park, going to the isle or Rocketts Landing, and enjoying the views of the city are always a vibe.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shoutout to every single client and person who has supported my journey thus far. I am over the moon with love and gratitude for the people who have shown they believe in me as much as I do.
