Meet Nya Wallace | Entrepreneur /CEO/Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nya Wallace and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nya, how do you think about risk?
Taking risk is something that many people are scared to do but I personally think it is a good thing. It can be detrimental to moving forward in your life. There can be a whole new world waiting for you on the other side. I always weigh my options, look at the pros and cons and most importantly trust my intuition. I guess you can call it taking” calculated risk”. There will always be that thought of what if. I wouldn’t be where I am today without it. I am grateful for the good and the bad. NO PAIN ,NO GAIN!

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Pretty Elevated: All my life I have been into creating things and always had dreams of what kind of business I can start. It came to me naturally and was an outlet for me. When the pandemic hit I really began to dive into my creativity deeper since I had so much extra time on my hands. I began customizing different tobacco accessories such as rolling tray sets, lighters, hookahs wine glasses or anything that I could think of. This was only the beginning of the many aspects of my business
Pretty Memoirs:
My latest creations are Grave blankets and Gravestones. I design beautiful images that tell the story or legacy of the deceased. I than put the image on a vinyl weatherproof blanket that is made to lay above the ground, over the grave for decoration.
The gravestones are made the same way except the images are put on a stone.
I also make memorial, candles, necklaces and key chains.
I am so excited about this aspect of my business and want to help families lay their loved ones to rest in style but inexpensively. Many people aren’t prepared but its inevitable. Being able to put a smile on families faces during their grieving process is something I strive for.
I would say I got here professionally by being my creative self. Being creative is one of my most abundant gifts! The business aspect can get challenging sometimes but nothing worth having comes easy. I learned to be resilient and adaptable to my environment while running my business and family life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One thing my bestie and I love to do is go out for good food and drinks. So we would probably start off by finding a good brunch spot like Milk and Honey or K.OD. Next, we would enjoy the rest of our day at the spa cause one thing I love is a good massage. Nails, feet and lashes you know the whole nine. Maybe try riding ATV’s or a gun range. Just good vibes and relaxation.
Atlanta has so much to offer and there are still many new establishments that I would like to explore. I often go on Tik tok for ideas.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my Shoutout to my children and the ones that genuinely support me every day whether its helping with my kids ,listening to my ideas or lifting me up when I am in doubt. They give me strength I didn’t know I have and I hope they know how much it means to me!
