We had the good fortune of connecting with N’sou Hoba and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi N’sou, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My major thought process behind creating my business, Churr Up Churros, is why not me! Although I am in the dessert business, a very small number of companies in my area that sell churros and specialize the churros like how I do them. So why not, be the first in my city to bring churros, which are not too popular in the Atlanta area. I can create a churro empire and who know where this could lead to!

What should our readers know about your business?
Churr Up Churros is a gourmet churros business, that has a creative twist on the traditional style of churros. What sets my business apart from other dessert companies in my region, is that Churr Up Churros specializes in churros and not just the traditional style churros dipped in cinnamon sugar, but I have incorporated multiple glazes and toppings that amplify the delicious taste of churros. I am most proud of the growth my business has made thus far and I am most excited about the growth potential my business has. It is exciting to know that I have a marvelous product and over time my product will put a bunch of smiles on many people’s faces. I have been in business for a full year now and consistency and determination are how my business is still standing and will continue to stand and grow. My journey thus far has not been that difficult, because I have planned and done enough research to navigate my business to where it is now. The most important lesson that is most relevant to me is that I take no losses only lessons. I want the world to know there is joy in food, whether you are creating/ serving, or consuming it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my friend to Mojave, Red Velvet Bistro, and Nina & Rafi for dinner. Breakfast at Barneys, The Select, and my house for breakfast or brunch. Rock Steady, Fin & Feathers MJQ for some turn-up. My friends and I are the types of people who will have fun regardless of where we go!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My #1 supporter is my Mother, Yvonne, and her Wife, Karla. They are always helping me at every event, from beginning to end, I am super grateful to have family who will support me by shopping with my business and being outstanding employees. You can’t put a price on a great support system. Also, my siblings show love and support and will be present whenever I need them. I use other churros’ businesses as my inspiration and encouragement.
