Meet Nina Austin | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nina Austin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nina, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor is consistency. It is truly the key to success along with being very passionate about the field your in and what you’re doing.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an artist and an artist of many fields. Becoming a makeup artist wasn’t my only first dream, I am also a musical artist as well as an abstract artist. Those are the things that I am most proud of & I feel that alone sets me apart from others. The love for art runs deep for me. I’ve gotten to where I am mostly because of my “passion driven” work ethic. Had I not had a passion for what it is that I do, I would likely fail to be frank. Even with doing what you love comes challenges. I feel it’s a part of the process. I tend to overcome those challenges by taking necessary time away from that environment & just resetting all together. I may spend quality time with friends and family or lock in with the best series or movie that I can find. I’ve learned many lessons along the way. Most of the time your biggest supporters comes from strangers. Also that everyone will not like the art that put out and as long as you love it, that’s all that matters. For me I would want the world to know that I am not perfect and everyone has a story, my story is built on integrity, struggle, strength and love. Please know that giving up was never an option and that optimism has gotten me far more opportunities than money or a having following has.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So I am currently living in Atlanta and it is tons of exciting things to do here. If my bestfriend were to visit we’d mostly be eating out. I would take her all around the city filling her up with nothing but the best foods and hanging out at the chillest spots. The night life is pretty lit as well, I don’t go out much so it’ll be nice to hit the town with my girl for sure. Maybe over the next few days we’d catch a Braves game & do a little shopping. I feel that the city of Atlanta has a lot to offer so you just can’t go wrong trying to enjoy it here.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I put all of my success and dedication in light of my loving, supportive mother; while the majority being God!
