Hi Nikkia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Unplanned Perfection is literally the process of releasing what we thought life should and would be and embracing where we are right now. It’s the belief that everything happens for a reason. So perfection isn’t this mystical place or goal, but its right where we stand today. There is perfection in every single part of our journey if we surrender to it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We all know that our first love should be ourselves. We hear so much about self and soul care but I’m a firm believer that the same energy that you put into the care of your soul should also extend to how well you take care of your outside. Finding your fashion voice and being unapologetic about expressing it is key to womanhood. It may not look like the next but it’s yours and there is power in that. Part of how I love on myself is expressed by what I wrap my body in. Part of my passion is fashion and helping women find and express their inner voice. I also do family and children styling. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is a good question…I like a little bit of everything so my list would probably consist of a little bit of fun on the roof at Ponce City Market, a relaxing spa day and winery tour at Chateau Elan, Delicious brunch and drinks at Roc South Cuisine, and some shopping at all the boutiques and vintage shops in Little Five Points.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This shoutout is dedicated to my beautiful mom. I know it sounds typical but she really is the strongest, selfless, most beautiful woman I’ve ever met. I learned first hand what it means to walk in true forgiveness, humility, grace, and service just by watching her. She gives her whole heart to everything she does and she expects nothing in return. I am so honored that God chose me to be her daughter. She is literally the backbone of my family and we all love her dearly.
