Hi Nike, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
By business has taught me not to undermine my own value. This post operative care business is saturated with several different professionals from medical experts to estheticians or even non medical social media influencers. For me personally, It comes with a lot of satisfaction, pride, mastery, enjoyment and intellectual challenges whereas some attain it with fame and popularity. I had to revisit my core value and understand that there are no simple formulas for success besides having to work hard for it. You have to be willing to interact with other people, learn from them and build confidence because Without confidence, most of your competence will be wasted. you have to be willing to do whatever it takes to build self-confidence, even if it means confronting your worst fears.

What should our readers know about your business?
I have always loved Atlanta and visited the city quiet often, matter of fact, people assumed i lived here because i visited so much within the last 6 years. I officially moved to Atlanta, Ga after getting accepted to Emory University for my Master’s in Nursing studies, I knew then that the future of my business ” BodiedRN” would thrive even more in Atlanta, Ga. I began doing the necessary research, and used social media as the platform to advertise my services. I then decided to gain more knowledge so I visited Miami Florida, the city that is known for Plastic/ Cosmetic surgery. From meeting with some of the best surgeons, to speaking one on one with the most influential females and males who understood the ups and downs of recovering from plastic surgery, I knew then that this was a field I wanted to bring awareness to. I gained an extensive knowledge in servicing clients recovering from procedures such as; BBL’s, Tummy Tucks, Breast Augmentations, Liposuction, lip enhancements and so much more. With continued education and training I can say I have an exceptional and practical wisdom in improving the pre and post-operative experiences of clients recovering from plastic surgery. The passion i share in this field motivated me in becoming certified. My goal is to continue prioritizing safety, wellness and health for my current and future clients. Getting to where i am today was not easy, and it still isn’t easy. I work tirelessly and try my best to be my best everyday. I support those who share the same interest as me and learn alongside other post operative professional. What sets me apart is the knowledge and experience i have in this field and the reality that i am coachable, and always interested in learning new skills to better my craft.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh my bestfriend knows Nike is taking them to the best of the best. Ok Lets see, first stop is Phipps Plaza for some retail therapy. I would definitely make reservations at Restaurant 356 for some food and adrenaline rush with the Porsche Experience, for drinks and ambience i would definitely go to The Select ATL, The Garden Room, Toast on Lenox and depending on what mood we are in Divan or Little Alleys Steak House for a chill girls night. There is so much to do in Atlanta honestly. Some fun/ interesting places to visit are The Atlanta Selfie museum, Mics Karaoke, Centennial park, Red Phone Booth, Painted Pins, or the Botanical Gardens.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My amazing Fiancé’ “PJ” is deserving of a shoutout. This man has allowed me to expand my thinking and pushed me in ways that have allowed the birth of this business to flourish in ways i never imagined. Without him I honestly believe I would have faced so much setbacks and I may have given up on my dreams. I truly admire his work ethics and appreciate him for always supporting me in everything I converse with him about accomplishing. Whatever my plans are, i know once i discuss it with him, i am getting it done.
