We had the good fortune of connecting with Nik Arielle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nik, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have always been considered a “creative” for years and never acted on my creativity until I realized this is truly my passion and my purpose after tons of people were always telling me how out of the box my ideas were and how much I’ve always had a niche to perfect everything. I worked as a marketing associate in my most recent years and I have always felt that I could do it on my own and I knew it would be a great success. I decided to take a leap of faith during the pandemic and start my own digital marketing business and business has been booming ever since. I can honestly say I turned my passion into profit.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have always been doing “marketing” since the age of 15 years old. I was a social media marketing manager for years where I made tons of connections in the Caribbean and Urban industry. Everyone knew how great my work ethic was so they’d book me for marketing related work and word spread around extremely fast that I was one of the best. As my talents improved, I was able to offer more services such web development, event marketing management, content creation, motion graphics and so much more. Building my brand has not been the easiest task especially because it is extremely time consuming however, it has been the most rewarding and fulfilling feeling to know that my clients are happy with a product that I delivered. Surpassing my clients’ expectations is always my goal and I nail it every time.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting the area, I’d take them to my favorite part of New York City which is Dumbo! I love everything about Dumbo from the views to the restaurants to just simply the people! We’d stay at the fabulous 1 Hotel Dumbo and grab a drink at their rooftop lounge while admiring the breathtaking views on the NYC skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge. I have been there numerous times and every visit feels like the first time. This is one hotel that I can honestly say gives me butterflies.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my family. Mom, Dad and Nneka, you guys have played a tremendous part in my life and have always pushed and motivated me. Without you guys, I am nothing. Everything I do is to make my family proud. Thank you guys for everything. I love you guys so much !
