Meet Niema Graham: Digital Content Creator & Wellness Enthusiast

We had the good fortune of connecting with Niema Graham and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Niema, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started working on Levitate last year back when the pandemic began. I went to several grocery stores trying to find water, juice, paper towels and tissue. I was both scared and frustrated because I went to several stores and was unsuccessful getting what I need. I then began to walk towards the front of the store near the produce department with the intentions of me leaving to the next store but then I stopped, looked at the produce and saw how there wasn’t a soul in sight buying produce. I then decided to buy plenty of fruits and veggies with intentions to clean and freeze for later but to also attempt to make my own juice with the produce that I have bought. I then created my first batch of strawberry lemonade. Later in the year I realized that I was struggling emotionally due to how much COVID-19 had impacted my life. I had been laid off from my job due to the pandemic and I had too much time on my hands. I don’t believe in prescribed medicine, I believe in holistic living, healing and medicine. I began to explore CBD because I refused to allow the doctors to prescribe any medicine and I wanted to treat my emotional struggles the natural way. So I then decided to make a CBD lemonade called Levitate! Levitate is a NON-GMO, vegan, gluten free beverage that’s committed to leaving you relaxed, refreshed providing its anti-inflammatory and stress relieving benefits.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It’s funny that I’m asked this question because my best friend has recently moved back to Atlanta with her boyfriend and I was so thrilled to have her back. My best friend and I have been in each other’s lives since my senior year of high school and we have been attached by the hip ever since. I was so happy to have her back in town because things weren’t the same without her. When it became time for us to hang out again for the first time, it felt as though we were picking up where we left off. We met up at a restaurant called Little Rey, which was a popular Mexican spot in the city. We had tacos, chips, several salsas and sauces plus we can’t forget the margaritas!! We had a great time, sitting together talking about the old and the new. It was so refreshing to have her back and to hear all about her experiences while living in Dallas. Soon after we left Little Rey we stopped by Kroger on Ponce, grabbed a couple bottles of wine, plenty of snacks, filled the cooler with ice and headed to Piedmont Park. Once we arrived at Piedmont Park, we laid out the blanket, took out the speaker for music and we created out own vibe. We were right where we were supposed to be. It was a day that I will always remember because I had missed my best friend and I thrilled to have her back after being gone for 4 years. It was great to have her back. Its still great to have her back. I hope that could answer your questions.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost I want to take a moment to thank God. I give him the most thanks for not only sustaining me through this pandemic but that he also gave me an idea that could help others. I want to give a shout out to my parents for always encouraging to remain strong throughout my journey and I’m capable of doing whatever I put my mind to. I have to give a special shout out to my friends who’s been supporting me through out my journey of creating Levitate and believing in my purpose behind why I created Levitate from the very start; my best friend Constance, my friends Eddie, Kandra, Arerel, Cokoh, Jasmine, Destiny, Yanni. Thank you guys so much for being honest, loyal, supportive, loving, my listening ears and truly having my back.
