We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, why did you pursue a creative career?
I’ve always been creative. I like making something out of nothing. Tapping into my creativity has always been a therapeutic experience for me.

What should our readers know about your business?
Buhter Up is a handmade skincare business dedicated to providing high-quality, natural products that nourish and rejuvenate skin. At Buhter Up, we believe that nature has the power to heal and restore, and we harness that power in every product we create. Not only do we sell nourishing skincare products we also offer an experience. We teach our customers how to make functional skincare items that they can use as part of their self care routine that will benefit their skin as well as their family’s skin.

What makes me proud of Buhter Up is our ethical and sustainable practices. We use natural and organic ingredients which reduces waste. Our biggest accomplishment to date is supporting our local communities. The positive reviews, repeat customers and feedback that we receive let us know that Buhter Up is providing value and meeting our customers needs.

I got where I am today by believing in myself. I’ve learned over the years to clap for me when no one else was. It isn’t easy but when you remember your “Why” it gives you the motivation needed to keep going.

I’ve learned that to whom much is given much more is required. If we want success we must be willing to put in the work. We must not be afraid to share what we learn with others. We learned from someone so when we give others a helping hand that’s when blessings flow.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My best friend and I enjoy learning and trying new things. Everyday we would choose a small new restaurant to support. We would attend a host of networking events, pop up shops, museums and plays. At night we would go to different spoken word events and comedy shows.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God will forever be first and foremost in any shout out that I will ever give.

Goodwill of North Georgia was very instrumental and supportive of my business. The business mentors at that wonderful organization taught me the skills to build my business in order to improve the financial well-being of my family.
