We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Quick and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was shaped by my unique childhood experiences. Growing up, I faced numerous health challenges that prevented me from pursuing various opportunities. From the age of 13, I grappled with undiagnosed health issues, which left me feeling lost and purposeless. The majority of my time was spent in hospitals rather than classrooms, and it seemed unlikely that I would even make it to adulthood.

As a naturally curious and educated individual, I possessed the necessary intellectual capacity and potential. However, my physical health constantly hindered my progress. When people asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I couldn’t envision a future because of my debilitating health. Instead, I would daydream about how different my life would be if I were healthy.

This realization motivated me to embark on a journey of self-discovery. I began questioning the notion of waiting until adulthood to find my purpose. Why couldn’t I start working towards something meaningful right now? The urgency of my situation pushed me to utilize my skills, talents, and education to make a difference. I found my passion in helping, educating, empowering, and supporting others, particularly those facing similar challenges.

By creating businesses that catered to these aspirations, I not only found purpose but also made a positive impact on people’s lives. Despite eventually receiving a diagnosis and continuing to deal with health issues, I am driven by the knowledge that I have fulfilled my purpose. If, heaven forbid, I were to leave this world at any moment, I would take solace in knowing that I made a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I consider myself an artist because I am a creator in various fields. I don’t limit myself, and at 23 years old, I have started seven businesses. Failure doesn’t bother me; it’s part of the journey to success. I’ve learned to separate failure from negativity and embrace it as a learning experience. It hasn’t been easy, but I am driven by passion and a belief in my own vision. My “art” is about inspiring others to unleash their creativity and pursue their passions fearlessly. I want the world to know that with determination and perseverance, anything is possible regardless of your circumstances.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For starters, I was blessed to have a best friend party of 6! Tyleah, Rachel, our two stinky butts Zander and Zayden, and their best friend (my puppy) Jasper! A week together would go like this: Day 1: Taco tour and Crumbl cookies.
• Day 2: Zoo visit and aquarium exploration.
• Day 3: Adventure activity, tacos, and tequila.
• Day 4: Day trip or outdoor activities
• Day 5: Chipotle and Shopping
• Day 6: Pool Day
• Day 7: Brunch

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to God, my village, and all those who have supported and believed in me. Without God’s strength and guidance, I wouldn’t have overcome my challenges and achieved success. My village, including my parents, friends, and mentors, has been my unwavering support system. They have listened, supported, and prayed for me, giving me the strength to face my battles and pursue my dreams. This shoutout is a token of appreciation for their impact on my life. Thank you for being a part of my journey.
