We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole LeBlanc and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was born and raised in Atlanta, a true hometown girl. After working in UX content design for a few years in Silicon Valley, I came home to invest in my community and support the development of women in Atlanta. I specifically chose to franchise with Radiant Waxing because it offers the highest quality waxing experience around, and I truly believe that it fills a gap in the Atlanta market.

I’m passionate about economic development for women, and through my business, I’m fortunate enough to create employment opportunities for a group of extremely talented, up-and-coming estheticians. My mission is to teach my team the tools and tactics they’ll need to become successful entrepreneurs. The retention and growth of my team members are very important to me, not only for their own success, but also for the guest experience we provide at Radiant Waxing.

What should our readers know about your business?
Radiant Waxing Howell Mill is the very first Radiant Waxing franchise location in Atlanta/Georgia. We’re Black, woman, and locally-owned. At once, our salon is both premium and approachable. Our guests receive waxingservices using all-natural soft wax in a beautiful, modern salon, performed by a friendly group of talented Waxologists. I’m looking forward to opening our second location in Summerhill later this year.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First and foremost, I’d want to make sure that she felt groomed and pampered.  Naturally I’d want her to come and get a wax at Radiant Waxing, followed up with a blowdry at Tinte Blowdry Bar and a mani/pedi. Over the week I’d like to grab dinner at Kinjo and drink on the rooftop at Palo Santo. We’d probably go somewhere to play some games like darts or bowling. I’d love to catch a show if someone we liked was performing. Atlanta has so many events and activities for different vibes, it’s hard to say!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shout out my amazing salon manager, Jasmine Bridges. Not only is she a talented Waxologist who cares about her guests and delivers incredible waxing experiences, but she’s also a thoughtful team leader who’s mastered how we handle our day-to-day. Jasmine has played a huge part in the success of Radiant Waxing.
