Meet Nicole Cumberbatch-Pitt | Author and Transformational Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Cumberbatch-Pitt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
My quote: Dare to Believe! Choose to Obey! Watch God Deliver!

This has been my mantra over the last season of my life. I have lived this so I can tell you that it works. God gave me dreams of my life and the possibilities that could happen. But I had a choice. I had to believe that through God I can. I had to choose to obey and do the things needed to achieve them even when it didn’t make sense. Now I am watching God deliver on His promises. So, I encourage others, don’t just pray or wish for change and stay stagnant. But, believe what God says about you. Choose to step out in faith and go where He is leading you and then watch and see how your life is transformed.

Can you open up a bit about your work? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a transformational coach, my goal is to empower women to walk in their true identity. As women go through life experiences and personal growth, they may develop new interests, beliefs, and values that challenge their previous identity. They can feel called to a greater purpose but struggle with limiting belief, self-sabotage, and setbacks which prevent them from walking out their purpose in God. I seek to help them rediscover their identity, joy, hope and faith in Christ.

This was my story. I was once a very confident, joyous and hopeful individual, but after experiencing some negative things in my life ending with the loss of my mum all of that joy and hope was sucked out of me. But it was at this lowest point that God was able to restore my identity. Only this time, it was not anchored to things or people’s opinion, but it was anchored on the truth of God’s Word. This was by no means an easy task. It was painful, lonely and took lots of praying and faith in God. But it was there He began stripping away the things that no longer served me and ignited the belief that I would see God’s goodness in the land of the living.

Out of that, The Re-Couragement Zone was birthed. You may be saying “re-courage” that is not an actual word. Yes, I know, but it was the word given to me by God. It means that God has the ability to restore your courage, joy, hope and faith. This first started as a blog which sought to help uplift women in their faith journey by helping them understand that life struggles will come but there is still hope. That then evolved into publishing my first two books: Journey to Victory: 10 Key Lessons for Every Christian and Authentically You Prayer Journal (both available on Amazon). These books seek to help you hold onto faith while traversing life challenges as well as helping women in restoring their identity in Christ. Simultaneously, I was introduced to coaching which I fell in love with. I was then able to turn this into a business with God’s help enabling me to walk in my purpose. Here I am realizing that as I coach women, it enables them to understand themselves better which causes them to feel more empowered and also walk out their calling.

I have learned that this journey of life is not always easy but with God it is worth it. I have also learned how to walk in authenticity and embrace my uniqueness. Because I have walked the path, I can now use the experiences that God has brought me through to help other women in their time of need.

I want the world to know through my brand that hope is still alive, joy is still possible and that even though life may hand you lemons, even though you may experience loss, pain or hope deferred, you are still capable of having a joyous and fulfilled life. I want to encourage women, or should I say re-courage them, that they can still have hope, and they can rise again. These setbacks can serve to propel them further if they don’t give up!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Barbados beaches are the best so I would take them to the beach. The beach is my favorite place of all times. It is where I connect with God and be able to relax in His presence. The white sandy beaches create an atmosphere of peace and serenity. You could actually spend all week visiting various beaches, doing various tours like snorkeling, riding jet skis and just relaxing under an umbrella enjoying a refreshing coconut water beverage.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would first give thanks to God, recognizing that I am all that I am through His grace alone. I would also like to shoutout my Family Altar Ministry and my sister Ashaa’ Cumberbatch who were pillars of hope and strength during my trying season. Credit also goes to Coach Dr. Vicki Otaruyina who was instrumental in helping me bring my books to market and aligning my business with my purpose.
