Hi Nic, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business stemmed from my Mom and Dad. They have always instilled in me that if you are good at something you be the best you can be at it and go as far as you can with that dream. My dream has always been to help others but I never had a clear direction on how and where to start until I started doing the one thing I loved and that was resumes and helping people find good jobs. I started off doing my Mom and Dad’s resume and they were very pleased on how it turned out and how other companies provided excellent feedback regarding their resume. After that, I began doing resumes by word of mouth just asking people to let me try to create a resume and the constant positive feedback I received is what made me open up King Mac’s Workshop and I do not regret it at all.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am most proud of myself and the amount of dedication I have taken to ensure my business is ran smoothly, while I manage my personal, and work life. This journey is not an easy one and I will say if you have a dream, go for it, do not stop keep going. You also can’t bring everyone on your path to success with you. It is such an honor to work with the Voyage Magazine team, and I am forever grateful and look forward to many more opportunities to grow and get my business out there.

The one thing I want the world to know about my business is that anyone from any state is welcome to my services. I am fully virtual and fairly enjoy working with people. You will not regret working with me as I offer more than just a resume service. Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would love to take my friends to New York City and take pictures at the Time Square. I have never been to New York and plan to make that one of my trips off my bucket list this year. New York is a city of many different attractions and I would love to take my friends there and just have a great time. I am very adventurous and love to travel the world, visit new places, and enjoy life.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to take this moment and thank the man above, my parents, family, and friends for supporting me each step of the way from the beginning until now. With the passing of my grandmother back in early 2021, and now my father in late 2023 it was a small setback for me as those two deaths hit me hard. But, I never allowed those deaths to bring me down as they wouldn’t want me to mourn. Each day I wake up in the morning I wake up with a purpose to keep going each day and with the continued love and support from family and friends I love this new version of me. As of today, King Mac’s Workshop continues to grow each day and I am very excited to see where my business goes.
