We had the good fortune of connecting with Nia Hines and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nia, what inspires you?
I am inspired by translating dreams – even far-fetched, too-wild-to-be-true fantasies – into reality for my clients. Every day I wake up with the desire to create travel experiences that will leave my clients with indelible memories. I have had so many life-enhancing trips and I always want my clients to feel they’re on an epic adventure. I want them to experience the wonder and magnificence of the world in the same way I do.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I founded Notiq Agency because I wanted to merge my passion for travel and destination event planning with my acumen for precision and attention to detail. Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta is bursting with great food, shopping, and cultural options – I would make sure my friend saw the different faces of the city. I would start off with a nice afternoon in Inman Park at one of my favorite restaurants, Barcelona’s- they have the best tapas and ambiance. Then we could head over to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens to catch one of its stunning exhibits. It’s an easy walk from Inman Park and this is a good way to walk off the extra calories from lunch. During the week, we would definitely continue the relaxation vibe by lounging at the the W Hotel rooftop pool followed by a massage at their spa. The next day we would do a bit of indie and vintage shopping in Little Five Points, it’s the perfect place to stroll for unique finds, gorgeous murals, and eclectic groups of people. And of course, I can’t forget our health and wellness, so we would definitely go bike riding on the Atlanta Beltline, enjoy the Roswell Mill Trail/Waterfall, and visit the VitaminLady on Auburn Avenue. Auburn Avenue is the historic hub of black Atlanta and it has a bustling restaurant and art scene. I would definitely suggest a repeat visit, but this itinerary should cover us for a week!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes, I would definitely like to dedicate this shoutout to my mother. While I also have the support and love of family, friends, and mentors, my mom is my rock and foundation. When I was a child, she trusted me and gave me the freedom to make my own choices. She never forced me to make decisions based on her desires. She was loving, firm, and had clearly defined values. I think of the combination of a firm foundation and freedom as roots & wings. I’m so grateful for that level of freedom because it allowed me to truly discover who I was without being limited or directed by her desires. I’m beyond thankful.
