Meet Ne’Shia Holden | Actress, entrepreneur, & hairstylist.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ne’Shia Holden and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ne’Shia, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I’ve decided to pursue a creative career because of how it made me feel. With that being said; creating art has always been freeing to me. In elementary, one of my favorite subjects was art class. I love how art shifts perspective and how it is different with everyone’s eyesight. I also feel there’s not enough appreciation of being creative. I like to do things that are out of the ordinary. I never wanted a regular job !

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
With me being a creative on many levels: I’ve learned a lot. I’ve learned to enjoy the little things in life and to put more love into where I am and the work I present. I got here thus far by being determined to be something…to be different…yet essential. It wasn’t easy . Life will rock you most certainly. There has been doubters and naysayers but staying focused is how I made it through a lot of life’s obstacles. I also have continued to keep in mind why I am doing what I’m doing. I want my brand to represent perseverance ! I want people to see art and bravery in a different light in the things I create!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were here for a week we would go to: Atlanta botanical garden, Andretti’s, Your third spot , Stone Mountain, the Trap museum, Capers, Copelands, First watch, Puttshack, High museum of Art, Cirque daiquiri bar, BlaqhauseATL, Juicy Crab, and more !
We would eat, drink, be big kids, explore nature, check out poetry, and vibe out at some nice lounges during the week!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Lately, my inspiration and motivation has been Viola Davis’s memoir! I was feeling a little down about my acting career but after reading her book about her trials and how she had gotten to where she is now my perspective has changed. A friend had recommended it and it definitely has changed my perspective on my journey ! It moved me to enjoy the journey. Also to be liberated in the art and to just be present in what you do!
