We had the good fortune of connecting with Nelson l. Moody Sr and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nelson l., what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Hello, being a fatherless child growing up I felt pain growing up. My thought process was bridging Fathers and children Internationally with their bonds. Fathers are extremely important in their children lives. When Fathers are involved in the lives of their children it impacts them mentally, emotionally, socially, spiritually and eventually economically. The presence alone of Fathers in the lives of their children is impactful to them in many ways as they grow older and beyond.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is my work is pretty simple- Bridging Fathers and children to be involved with their children no matter what color, race, religion, spiritual, wealth or educational Most proud about I’ve turned my negative fatherlessnes into my children not duplicating my past. It wasn’t easy getting to where I’m at today. I got where I’m at today through God and determination and not giving up ( something my children have seen time after time). The lesson is simple- always be involved with your children as they grow up. I would want the world to know I’m serious about fathers being involved in the lives of their children no matter what. My story is I done right by my children- being involved with them growing up.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Being still learning the Atlanta area. Downtown, Six Flags, The Aquarium, Dr. Martin Luther King Center, Stone Mountain, etc.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A thank you to God for my purpose and his will for my life. My children who have made fatherhood a easy process for me despite me being fatherless. I made a vow to God and myself that whenever I start having children, they would not grow up fatherless. A vow that has been fulfilled. I dedicate my work to Fathers internationally no matter what color, race, religion, wealth or educational status. We have atleast one thing in common, we’re Fathers to our children Internationally.
