We had the good fortune of connecting with Nekeith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nekeith, how do you think about risk?
When I think about risk I wonder what is keeping me afraid of taking that route or what can happen or what would be the outcome if I chose to step out of my comfort zone. Taking risks has played a major part of my life and entertainment career. I always been fearless to step out of my comfort zone to make things happen no matter any circumstance. I love the thrill of not knowing what can happen next once I debut new music, knowing that I put my all into the project. I put it in the hands of god and my supporters and I just trust the journey.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is Acting, Music and Modeling. I love being able to tell stories through film and also delivering messages through my music and show representation for my community in modeling. What sets me apart from others is my drive. When I set my mind on a goal I make sure to put my all into accomplishing the goal, and I set my goals high. I am most proud of my growth in the music industry because I am an independent artist and I have seen my following of supporters have grown significantly and I am so thankful. I am super excited for the future me and my team have so much planned, and I have been working hard in the studio here in Atlanta working with new producers for my next project creating a new sound. It has not been an easy ride to get to where I am today professionally but I always kept my faith and stayed focused on my dream and goals and remained humble. There were a lot of challenges due to my sexuality and I am still facing challenges in the industry till this day but you have to keep your head and never give up. One lesson that I have learned would be “Your only limit is you” so be brave and fearless. I want the world to know that I am here and I will leave my mark in the entertainment industry representing the LGBTQIA+ Community!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spot in the city would be Sugar Factory. I love the huge drinks and food, the music was good but mainly I loved the atmosphere it was a really nice spot. Another one of my favorite places would be Krab Queenz the owner is BlameItOnKway and let me tell you the whole location is a vibe and the food and drinks is delicious! When you are in the Atlanta area you have to check out these two spots in the city.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would have to give a HUGE shout out to my supporters, I call them my Royalties because they are all Kings and Queens! My Royalties have been rocking me throughout all the years and they have seen my growth not only as an artist but also as an individual. We will always have that special bond, thanks to social media we are able to chat and I am able to connect with my supporters from all over the world!
