We had the good fortune of connecting with Neil Golden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Neil, what matters most to you?
To capture meaningful photos. This is what I always attempt to do is find meaning in the photos i take. It is a victory for me if someone sees the meaning or message when they view my photos!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I launched my photography business January 2025. I hurt my back at a assembly job that I had. Long story short the injury financed all of the necessary purchases needed to properly launch my photography business. I provide portraits at events. I also do Corporate headshots.

Creating a business is a lot of work. Mentally you cannot fully prepare for all of the decisions one must make. At the end of the day you call the shots and, if you get anything wrong you bear 100% responsibility.

My brand is appealing to those seeking elegance & luxury represented in photos. I am a perfectionist by nature. I see so many photographers whom do not pay attention to their branding or marketing strategy. They offer poorly composed photos along with dirt cheap pricing. That is the complete opposite of what I want to leave to this world when I am gone. A photo is forever & I will always push myself to deliver the very best that my skills at the time will allow.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love this little park called Whittier Mill Park in Atlanta! It’s a old cotton mill and, it’s always so peaceful there. I also enjoy the Chattahoochie River a lot. There are several access points around Sandy’s Spring & Smyrna.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give credit to my wife Monica. She has endured countless hours of me taking her photos. She has been blinded by my camera flash so many times I am surprised she still has her vision. Like a rock she has stood by my side the entire process as I have developed my photography talent.
